Written, directed and produced by Peter Watkins for the BBC, it caused dismay within the BBC and within government, and was withdrawn before the provisional screening date of 6 October 1965. We heard in today's news that Donald Trump is about to re-start testing nuclear weapons.
How can any sane man, or Donald Trump for that matter, even think of using nuclear weapons in a war of any kind or detonating them anywhere near the planet we live on? How were they not banned internationally like poison gas and chemical and biological weapons after World War II?
